M-POWER and Smile Communications Group are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of the visitors to our websites. All personal information that you provide to us is held confidentially, and the personal information, company information, or course/workshop participation information is never disclosed to a third party without your consent. We promise that we won’t sell, rent or trade email lists or any personal data collected here with other companies and businesses.
In this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided lots of information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others, and how we keep it secure.

Google Analytics
When someone visits our website, we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Embedded Content From Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Contact Forms/Requests and (If and When Enabled) Mailing Lists
If you contact us via email or the Connect page, we collect your name and email address. We use this information to contact you and an provide you requested information.
As part of any sign-up process for our mailing list, we collect your name and email address. We use that information to inform you of things you’ve asked us to tell you about: when we publish new blog posts, and information about other developments at M-POWER and Smile Communications Group.
We may also use this information to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to ensure our records are correct and to occasionally check that you want to remain on our mailing list. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organizations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, Mailchimp, to deliver emails to people on our mailing list. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our mailings. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.
You can unsubscribe to our general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing us at the email address found on the Connect page.
Sharing Your Data
As already mentioned, we don’t sell, rent or trade personal data with other companies and businesses. The only circumstances in which we will share any such data are:
- If you sign up for our mailing list, we share your name and email address with Mailchimp so that we can provide you with the emails you have requested
- If comments to News are enabled, visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service
- In the unlikely event that we are required to disclose details of data we hold by law
Access to and Rights Regarding Your Personal Information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request using the email found on the Connect page.
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
How Long We Retain Your Data
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How We Protect Your Data
We will take reasonable, technical and organizational precautions to prevent loss, misuse, or alteration of your personal information. We use a variety of security measures to protect your data and ensure it is securely stored. We utilize System Access Control in that all our systems that process personal data are password protected and require dedicated user IDs for authentication. We also maintain logs for all access to our systems and review those logs for security incidents. We also maintain Data Access Control as we restrict certain files and programs to those based on a “need to know” basis and we have additional controls in place to prevent use of unauthorized software. We also have Organizational Controls as we train our employees to maintain confidentiality and provide guidelines on data privacy, data security and management of security incidents.
Data Breach Procedures
In the event of a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data, M-POWER shall promptly assess the risk to affected individual’s rights and freedoms and if appropriate report this breach to the appropriate Supervisory Authority (SA). If such report is deemed necessary, it shall be made to the SA within 72 hours of the time M-POWER first learns of the breach.

Our communications may contain links to third party websites. As we do not control the information on these websites, you should review their privacy policies and cookies to learn about how that website may collect and use your personal information. When accessing any third party sites that may be linked you will leave this website. These third party sites are not controlled or endorsed by M-POWER. M-POWER is not responsible for the contents, operation or security of such sites.
