M-POWER and Smile Communications Group are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of the visitors to our websites. All personal information that you provide to us is held confidentially, and the personal information, company information, or course/workshop participation information is never disclosed to a third party without your consent. We promise that we won’t sell, rent or trade email lists or any personal data collected here with other companies and businesses.

In this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided lots of information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others, and how we keep it secure.

Website Cookies

When you use our website or mobile site, we may collect information by using ‘cookies’. When you first visit our website, you will be asked to consent to our use of cookies. If you prefer not to give consent, it’s possible that some of the site functionality may not work quite as well without cookies being enabled.

What are cookies and how do they work?

Cookies are small bits of text that are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Your browser sends these cookies back to the website every time you visit the site again, so it can recognise you and can then tailor what you see on the screen.

What do we use cookies for?

Cookies are an important part of the internet. They make using websites much smoother and enable many useful website features. While there are many different uses for cookies, this site uses them where required by a website feature to provide you with a smooth web browsing experience.

Examples of how cookies might be used on our site

Some cookies help you move around the website and use its features. Without these cookies, services you’ve asked for can’t be provided. These cookies don’t gather information about you that could be used for marketing or remembering where you’ve been on the internet.

Some are session cookies which make it possible to navigate through the website smoothly. However, these are automatically deleted after you close your web browser.

Some cookies allow the website to remember choices you make, such as your language or region.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Additional examples of the ways cookies are used to improve your experience on our website:

  • Remembering your preferences and settings.
  • Remembering if you’ve filled in a survey, so you’re not asked to do it again.
  • Remembering if you’ve been to the site before. If you are a first-time user, you might see different content to a regular user.
  • Enabling social media components, like Facebook or Twitter.
  • Showing ‘related article’ links that are relevant to the page you’re looking at.

When someone visits our website, we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to each page on the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone.

We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
